We offer classes for designers, makers and novices interested in making in Brooklyn.
Basic Jewelry, Instructor: Candice Chetta
Join us for a four week class of basic jewelry. This is a beginning class, with the assumption that students have no prior knowledge about beading or jewelry making. Learn how to make an earring with beads, necklace with beads and a simple bracelet. - June 16 - Simple Drop Earrings/Beginning Wire Wrapping: Elegant, simple dangle earrings with a few stones. Basic wire wrapping technique can be used for earrings, anklets, bracelets and just about anything else you can imagine! Tools you will need to bring: - Round nose pliers.Supplies used: 24g head pins, 24g base metal wire, ear hooks, and beads beads beads!
- June 23 - Advanced Earrings/Hoops and Briolette Wrapping.Expand on your mastery of basic earrings technique and learn briolette wrapping for your fancier stones that you simply must show off! Also in this class we will learn how to make hoop earrings of any size and decorate them wildly using briolette and basic wire wrapping techniques! Tools you will need to bring: All the tools from Basic Earrings. - Ring Mandrel - Optional: Jewelry hammer.Supplies used: 24g base metal wire, 18g base metal wire, ear hooks, seed beads, briollete- drilled beads.
- June 30 - Bracelets and Necklaces/Crimping. Learn how to make all the bracelets and necklaces you can stand! In this crimping class, you will learn how to use your crimping plier and crimp tubes of any size to create all sorts of different designs! Tools you will need to bring: - Crimping pliers, 2mm - Flex wire cutter, or wire cutter Supplies Used: - Flex wire, clasps, 2x2 crimping tubes, jump rings, beads.
- July 6 - Rings and Refresher on Anything You Need Help With! Simple rings with large beads, and answers to any burning questions you may have after our 3 weeks together!Tools you will need to bring: All the tools from Basic Earrings. - Ring Mandrel - Jewelry hammer Supplies Used: - 18gauge base metal wire, 24gauge base metal wire, large flat-drilled stones, seed beads, small stones and beads.

Sewing, Instructor Martine Bisagni
Join us for a four week class of basic sewing. This is a beginning class, with the assumption that students have no prior knowledge about sewing with a sewing machine. Learn various types of stitches.
