February 18 - Leave from JFK
February 19: Arrive at Marrakech airport and get driven to your hotel in Marrakech for the start of your trip.
February 20: Marrakech city tour; Today’s tour of Marrakech begins with the world-famous Jemaa el Fna Square, which houses an array of food, snake charmers, and local musicians. Next, visit the Koutoubia Minaret, Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tombs. This afternoon you’ll visit the Jardin Majorelle. Originally owned by an acclaimed landscape painter, Jacques Majorelle, the electric-blue villa and garden were bought and expanded by Yves Saint Laurent in the 1960s. Enjoy the impressive garden and small berber museum. This evening enjoy the medina to spend free time in the souks.
February 21: Marrakech cooking class: After breakfast, you will go to Souks (Food and Spices Market ) with the chef or your guide before starting the cooking class, start at 11h00am. You will learn how to prepare an appetizer and main dish, or a main dish and dessert. The afternoon is at leisure or enjoy an optional Spa treatment including 45 min hammam & black soap body scrub , body mask with plants and 10min 4 hands beldi body massage.
February 22: Marrakech – Excursion to Essaouira: Today you will enjoy an excursion to Essaouira. First visit on the way to a woman Argan cooperative where we witness how they produce Argan oil and its beauty products and then continue to “Les Domaines du Val d'Argan” some 12 miles away from Essaouira and the smallest winery in Morocco, for a lunch and wine tasting, before reaching our destination. Essaouira has no word-renowned mosque or enormous mosaic door; it’s a beach town, albeit a culturally dense one. In the way of high profile attractions, it’s got a brilliant medina––named a world heritage site by UNESCO–ramparts, a Jewish cemetery, a Kasbah, a citadel, and a bust of Orson Welles. The real sites in Essaouira are the beaches, the port, and the market. Rather than shopping, some people choose to windsurf on the ocean, while others opt for a camel ride along the beach. In either case, make sure not to miss the art galleries, cooperatives, and workshops, of which there are plenty throughout the city. Late in the afternoon return back to Marrakech.
February 23: Marrakech After breakfast transfer to the market for a day of shopping and fashion with Atim Annette Oton.
February 24: Marrakech: The day is at leisure for the 1:54 African Art Fair. Overnight in Marrakech.
